eZ-Audit Update for
Not-For-Profit and Public Institutions
March 15, 2004
Thanks for waiting.
We appreciate your cooperation and patience. On December 12th, 2003, we issued
an eZ-Audit Update for the Not-For-Profit and Public Institutions requesting
that you temporarily postpone your audit submissions via eZ-Audit until we made
modifications based on your feedback. This notice is to announce that we have
completed those changes and eZ-Audit is available for the Not-For-Profit and
Public institutions to submit their annual audit and financial statement submissions.
Effective today,
March 15, 2004, all Not-for-Profit and Public institutions with an annual submission
due date between December 31, 2003 and March 31, 2004 will have 60 days
from this effective date to submit their annual submissions through
eZ-Audit. With this timeframe, the deadline to submit through eZ-Audit is now
May 14, 2004.
PLEASE NOTE: eZ-Audit
does not change the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) requirement to submit
your report to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse. You still must fully comply
with OMB Circular A-133 and submit copies to the Clearinghouse.

After we receive your registration, we will email you a username and password

helpful "Step-by-Step
Guide" to assist you through the submission process. Please be aware
that there is one guide for each institution type (public, not-for-profit, and
proprietary). You can review these guides in advance by looking in the Publications
section of IFAP under "Audit
Guidance."
Important Reading.
Prior to submitting anything though eZ-Audit, please first review the "Frequently
Asked Questions" and "Common
Submission Errors" on the eZ-Audit link above to make your submission
process as easy and effective as possible.

| eZ-Audit is
a web-based paperless method for submission of financial statements and
compliance audits to FSA. A designee from your school simply signs on to
eZ-Audit, enters summary audit and financial data directly from your report
into a web form, attaches an electronic version of the report, and hits
the submit button. As we process your submission, eZ-Audit lets you continually
track its status to our resolution of it. |
