Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to announce the availability of an online training video to assist schools with using the Return of Title IV (R2T4) calculator to report the amount of Title IV grant or loan assistance not returned due to the CARES Act provisions. The training covers recent changes to the calculator, available on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website, that allow schools to perform an R2T4 calculation specifically for aid recipients who withdrew due to COVID-19-related circumstances.

The "CARES Act R2T4 School Training Video" is available on the Federal Student Aid E-Training website, located at https://fsatraining.ed.gov.

To access the training, log in to Federal Student Aid E-Training with your username and password. After logging in, select “Recorded Training” from the main menu bar. From the drop-down menu that appears, choose “Training Videos” and then select “Start Here” to enroll in the course. Once you are enrolled in the course, choose the “Operational How-To Videos” module and then choose “CARES Act R2T4 School Training” from the list. You may then press play to watch the video. As a reminder, use Chrome, Firefox, or Safari as your browser. Internet Explorer will not correctly display the video.

Note: If you do not have a username and password for Federal Student Aid E-Training, click on "Create new account" at the bottom of the login page and follow the instructions to create a username and password.
