Subject: Gainful Employment Electronic Announcement #9 - Live Internet Webinar - Reporting Gainful Employment Data to NSLDS

REMINDER 

The deadline for new program notifications and disclosure of consumer information on GE Programs is July 1, 2011.

The deadline for reporting information about students who were enrolled in GE Programs is October 1, 2011.

On June 13, 2011, we posted a Training Announcement (ANN-11-14) informing schools that on June 28 and June 29, 2011 we will be presenting the second in a series of webinars related to the new gainful employment regulations.  This webinar will provide technical information on the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) gainful employment reporting process, including choosing a reporting format, school setup, and how to submit, review, and correct gainful employment data.

As noted in ANN-11-14, in addition to reviewing the NSLDS Gainful Employment User Guide, it is important that financial aid administrators and other campus personnel who will participate in the webinar review the information provided in Dear Colleague Letter GEN-11-10, posted on April 20, 2011.
