Subject: 150% Direct Subsidized Loan Limit: Electronic Announcement #13 - Subsidized Usage Period Data and New Web Functionality Added to NSLDS Beginning April 14, 2014
The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) will begin loading 150% Subsidized Usage Period (SUP) data from the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System during the week of April 14, 2014. The data will be displayed on the new Subsidized Usage page on the NSLDS Professional Access Web site and will be made available to the Central Processing System (CPS) for inclusion on the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) and Student Aid Report (SAR). As we will describe in forthcoming communications, this data will also appear on the NSLDS Student Access Web site later this summer.
Due to the high volume of data, it is anticipated that the information will load to NSLDS over several days.
As the data is loaded to NSLDS, it will be included on new prescreening transactions and on subsequent postscreening transactions in the Subsidized Loan Eligibility Used (SLEU) field on the ISIR. Changes in the Subsidized Usage Period data will not cause a new postscreening transaction but will be included on the ISIR if an applicant is postscreened for another reason.
When the loading process is complete, we will post a message to the Messages section of the NSLDS Professional Access Web site.
Note: Please monitor the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site for forthcoming communications that will provide detailed information about new functionality and Web pages that will be implemented on the NSLDS Professional Access Web site related to the 150% Direct Subsidized Loan Limit, and which users will be able to view beginning April 14, 2014.
