Feedback Requested: Draft Fiscal Year 2020–24 Strategic Plan is Now Available (Updated Oct. 13, 2020)

Today, we are pleased to announce the draft of our Fiscal Year 2020–24 Strategic Plan is now available for your review and feedback on StudentAid.gov at StudentAid.gov/strategicplan.

This strategic plan illustrates an exciting new direction for Federal Student Aid (FSA) through the Next Gen FSA initiative to modernize our services, operations, and workforce for the 21st century. In its final form, the strategic plan will be our road map for the future.

The Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, which established FSA as a performance-based organization, requires FSA to give stakeholders a voice in its development. We view this as a crucial step that enables all of us to collaborate more effectively.

As we work to deliver the FSA of the 21st century, we look forward to working with you to achieve our shared goals to provide and improve educational opportunities and better serve our nation’s students and families.

Before we put this strategic plan into action, we want to hear from you. Please review it and submit your input using the feedback form by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time (ET) on Oct. 23, 2020. Both the strategic plan and the feedback form are available at StudentAid.gov/strategicplan.

We will also host a live webinar in late September to provide an overview of the draft strategic plan. If you are interested in attending the webinar, please register at https://cvent.me/kM8lyY.
