Subject: 2018-19 FAFSA Email Campaign Launch

On Oct. 16, 2017, we will begin sending emails to 2017–18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) filers (and parents of dependent 2017–18 FAFSA filers) who have not yet submitted a 2018–19 FAFSA form. The goals of the email campaign are to make customers aware that the 2018–19 FAFSA is available and to encourage them to complete the 2018–19 FAFSA form early. Eligible students and parents who have a valid email address in the Central Processing System will receive an email at some point between now and early December. Students and parents may receive different messages based on certain factors. The specific email text is attached to this notice for your reference.

In January, students who are renewal eligible, but have still not submitted a 2018–19 FAFSA form, will receive an email reminder as they have in prior years.

Feel free to use language from the attached email messages in your own communications.
