ISSUE ALERT: Microsoft Update Causing EDExpress Login Error

We would like to alert EDExpress for Windows software users of a login error caused by recent updates to Microsoft Office.

Microsoft released the following update files for Microsoft Office on November 12, 2019:

  • KB4484127

  • KB4484119

  • KB4484113

Users have reported that they are unable to log into EDExpress after installing one of these updates. When attempting to log in, the error message ‘Query ‘‘ is corrupt’ is displayed and the user cannot access the software.

This issue impacts all releases of EDExpress for 2018-2019, 2019-2020, and 2020-2021.

Microsoft has announced that an update to resolve this issue will be released on December 10, 2019. Until the corrected update is available from Microsoft, EDExpress users will need to uninstall the updates listed above. If you have not yet installed one of the updates listed above, you should continue to wait.
