2021-2022 ISIR Guide (Updated Dec. 14, 2021)

Subject
2021-2022 ISIR Guide (Updated Dec. 14, 2021)

Note

On Dec. 14, 2021, the 2021–2022 ISIR Guide was updated as a result of the change to use the “Death Indicator” field from the Social Security Administration to check for deceased applicants or their parents, instead of using the Death Master File. Please refer to the “Change History Table” on page two in the attached document (below) for these updates.

We are pleased to announce the posting of the 2021-2022 ISIR Guide. The ISIR Guide assists financial aid administrators (FAAs) with interpreting student information on the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR).

ISIRs are sent electronically to institutions by the Central Processing System (CPS). They contain processed student information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form, as well as key processing results and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS®) financial aid history information.

If you have questions, contact CPS/SAIG Technical Support at 1-800-330-5947 or by email at CPSSAIG@ed.gov.
