This discussion-driven session begins with an overview of computer security concepts, identity theft, and the various types of fraud currently being reported in the college community. This is followed by an exchange of Best Practices schools can use to identify potential fraud, protect themselves against it, how to deal with it, and what the potential outcome might be. Finally, case studies covering actual OIG investigations and resolved cases will be examined as a group activity offering attendees a chance to engage in an informal conversation with representatives from the ED OIG.
